About this blog
I’ve resisted blogging for years. Mostly because I hate writing.
I’ve always said that I can’t understand why anyone would write unless someone was holding a gun to their head (which, of course, is what deadlines are all about).
And the idea of having a blog always seemed to imply writing on a regular basis, which is the worst kind of deadline–one that never ends.
But lately I’ve been feeling that I really should write something more often than once every every five to seven years.
Twitter is too short to say most things I’d want to say. And writing an article…. Well, you might as well ask me to write another book.
And then it finally dawned on me: If I had a blog, I wouldn’t have to post something daily (or weekly, or even monthly). I could just write when I have something to say. Or more accurately, when I think I have something to say.
So here I am.
(And yes, it did take years for this to dawn on me. Yes, I am very slow on the uptake.)
What will it be about?
Probably the best clue is the three categories I’ve created.
I may end up adding others eventually, but I’m going to try to live with these.
